Debbie fell in love with watercolors in 2009 after taking a class in her home town in Georgia. Over the years she has taken classes from various watercolor artists, both on the mainland and the Hawaiian islands. After moving to the Big Island in 2014, the beauty of the islands are her inspiration. The local seascapes, landscapes, and flora are prominent in her works.

All of Debbie's paintings are originals (no copies or giclees) and show the vivid colors of the Big Island. Sizes range from greeting cards to larger paintings, mostly limited by what can easily be transported home by vacationers. Debbie is also open to  commissioned watercolors and to private lessons.
