Tesia was born and raised in Westchester County, New York, before moving to a suburb south of Boston in the early 1990’s, where she settled, raised her family, and worked as a Purser/Flight Attendant for a major international airline based out of Boston’s Logan Airport. Her career afforded her the time and opportunity to pursue her passion for creating stained glass artwork.
A self-taught artist, Tesia found inspiration in the great masters: the abstraction of Picasso, the emotive color of Rothko, and the luminous harmony of the Impressionists.
Surrounded by the island’s natural beauty and vibrant energy, life has been deeply invigorating since her move to Hawaii in 2020. Living in a tranquil and charming community on the South Shore of the Big Island has been a profound source of inspiration and has greatly nurtured the continuation of her creative journey.
Tesia's creative drive also includes embroidery. Her embroidery designs are inspired by color, nature, and everyday moments crafted into tapestries of detail, texture and story telling. Through thread, Tesia explores the beauty of handmade works that are both decorative and heartfelt.
For her, embroidery is more than a craft; it is a way of expressing herself and creating art pieces that are meant to be treasured for years.
